Nothing Convinces Like a Case Study

HomeNothing Convinces Like a Case Study

Customers Trust You Other Customers

Plain and simple.

It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in or who you serve. As human beings, we’re biologically programmed to trust those we can relate to.

Here’s a quick example:

Imagine that you’re new in town and have your sights set on a certain restaurant. From the outside, it shines like a new penny. But when you ask your neighbor for their opinion, they tell you that the food is terrible and recommend a different place instead. Which one do you choose for dinner? We’d put our money on the referred place every time.

Case Studies Put the Human in Marketing

This is why they’re so incredibly effective. We’re humans first and buyers second. So before you can earn customer trust, you need to earn human trust.

And what better way to do this than by having a real customer tell their story?

Ace the Narrative With a Case Study Writer

The most effective case studies center around a story. Yes, they are largely based on facts and data. But without building the story and creating that journey for the character (customer), the piece will lack feeling or emotion. And as we all know, emotion is what drives action.

Don’t have a knack for storytelling? Leave that part to us. We’ll present the facts in a compelling narrative to keep prospects engaged while they’re reading the piece and impressed with your company by the time they put it down.

  • How does the process work?

The first step is to schedule a free, 15-minute consultation to discuss your project needs and see if we’re a good fit. This is when we’ll discuss things such as your industry, product/service, timelines, client interviews and other project parameters. After the call, we’ll provide you with a quote for the project. Once you accept the quote, sign your proposal and pay the deposit (1/2 of the total project fee), we’ll move into the discovery phase.

We’ll schedule a call that should last between 30 minutes to an hour. During the call, we’ll discuss the key points about your product/service that should be highlighted in the case study. How did your company solve a customer’s specific problem? How has their relationship with your company changed his or her life for the better? What data do you have to support the case study? These are all questions that we’ll flesh out in the call.

The next step is to interview your client. You can sit in if you’d like or we can conduct the interview ourselves. Whichever you prefer.

Combining information from the discovery call and client interview, we’ll craft the case study and submit a draft for your review. Unless otherwise stated in your proposal, we include two rounds of revisions with our project fees.

  • How much does it cost?

Project fees vary based on a number of factors, including:

    • Industry
    • The complexity of the product/service
    • Amount of research required
    • Timelines
    • Number of client interviews
    • Case study length (standard is 2-3 pages)

We’ll be able to provide a quote after discussing project specifics. Contact us to schedule a consultation and tell us more about your upcoming case study.

  • What about design?

We’re writers by trade, but we partner with incredible designers who know how to make our words sing on the page. If you don’t have an in-house designer, we’ll bring in the right person for the job. The design will be priced separately and is not included in the standard project fees referenced above.

When it comes to case studies, our designers know how to:

    • Ensure the right balance between text and white space.
    • Draw attention to key points, quotes or statistics with visual callouts.
    • Carefully arrange text with images to animate the story and keep readers engaged.
